Recently, I had the privilege of visiting the Rehema for Kids children’s home called In Step Children’s Home. It’s a place where abused, abandoned, and orphaned children are rescued from heartbreaking circumstances and given a second chance at life. What I witnessed there deeply moved me. When we landed at the small Eldoret airport after our flight from Nairobi, we still had an hour and a half to drive before reaching In Step Children’s Home and Academy. Jambo Everybody! I hope you are all well, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing! We are healthy and happy here in Kenya, trying to take one day at a time with whatever God has put before us to do that day. Honestly, some days I feel like my life is just one “thing” (challenge to face, conflict to resolve, issue to deal with, request to fulfill, etc.) after another and I find myself taking joy in the smallest, most simple things in life. Jambo Everybody! Here I am again, with a million things swirling through my head, trying to narrow it down to what’s most important to share with you guys! Jambo Everyone! As always, I’ll start out talking about the weather. It has been raining most days, which is great for the farms, gardens, and MY favorite: flowers! A few months ago, I promised that in an upcoming letter, I would complain about the mud! LOL! Well, honestly, it hasn’t been that bad! My biggest complaint about it is the big paw prints on my carpet, courtesy of Hemi! That’s ok! He’s worth it! Tammie and her husband, Dean, dedicate several months each year to serving as Assistant Directors at our children’s home and school. We are thrilled to celebrate five of our students who recently graduated from high school: Musa, Sheri, Rebecca, Sandra, and Brenda. Three of them have been accepted to Daystar University and will begin classes in May.
