I remember walking through the gates of In Step Children’s home in Kenya, seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter. It was more than just a shelter. It was hope. At In Step, our kids do take a balanced diet. So by giving a kid balanced diet, definitely you will be sure that this child’s growth, her or his growth, is progressing well. And also, the child will be able to concentrate in class. Eating healthy food makes me think faster in school. Growing up in Kenya, I know what it’s like to face hardship. I’ve lived through it. But here, these children are given a chance to dream again. What I like most about going to school here is because it will be beneficial in my life. In Step elevates the future of our children because the education here, truly if you compare the education here and others, the quality of education is really high. When a child comes here you can be sure that child will do well. What do I mean when I say they will do well? All the books required for education are provided. The teachers they have here are experienced. In Step kids are successful in academics. I helped capture their stories on film. The strength of the children and the caregivers who give their hearts to make each child feels loved. I’ve seen firsthand how this home is changing lives. These children are the future of Kenya. Dreamers, leaders and world changers. And with every bit of support, we can help them soar. Join us in being a part of their journey, because here every act of kindness truly makes a difference.
