2025 Impact Report
One Family. Lasting Change.

Because of you, 2025 was a year of growth, healing, and incredible milestones at our children’s home in Kenya.
Children experienced safety instead of crisis, education instead of uncertainty, and opportunity instead of limitation. Your generosity made it possible.
“Every day we witness the faithfulness of God in the lives of these children. What begins with rescue becomes restoration as children discover the future He has prepared for them.”
~ ESTHA MADEIRA, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REHEMA FOR kIDS

2025 By the Numbers

These numbers represent real lives changed, futures restored, and generational poverty interrupted.
From Survival to Purpose: Vero’s Story
When Vero was six years old, her mother died suddenly. She and her sister were left without food, shelter, or protection. Eventually, they were placed in our care.
Like many children who arrive at In Step Children’s Home, Vero carried deep trauma. But over time, stability, education, and loving support gave her space to heal.
She excelled academically and earned a place on the Dean’s List at Daystar University with a 3.5 GPA.
Vero is graduating with a degree in psychology. She plans to become a counselor, helping others process trauma and find hope.
Her life reflects what is possible when rescue is followed by long term investment.

“Watching these children grow into confident young adults is one of the clearest reminders that God is still writing beautiful stories of restoration.”
~ BABA Jeff & MAMA Carla
Education That Builds Futures
In 2025:
- 184 local students attended our school
- 16 students graduated high school
- 6 graduates took their next step after high school, continuing on to university and vocational training programs
- Our first college students completed certificate programs and externships
Each child’s pathway is unique. Some pursue university degrees. Others thrive in vocational programs. Our commitment remains the same: helping every child reach his or her God given potential.
“Because of faithful supporters and the grace of God, children who once faced uncertainty now have stability, education, and real opportunities for their future.”
~ ARIC ELLISON, BOARD CHAIR REHEMA FOR kIDS
Rescue in Action
In January 2025, siblings Alex and Precious joined our family following a life threatening crisis. At just three years old, Alex arrived holding tightly to his one year old sister.
Today, Alex is playful and full of joy. Precious, once quiet and reserved, is blossoming beautifully.
This is the power of One Family.

These improvements ensure children are not just safe, but thriving.
2025 Impact at a Glance
Because of your generosity, children across the Rehema campus experienced safety, education, nourishment, and opportunity. Here is a snapshot of the impact made possible in 2025.

Numbers tell part of the story. Behind every number is a child discovering what is possible.
A Future for Every Child
Brian and Freddy’s stories remind us that every child’s future looks different. Both young men grew up at Rehema for Kids and worked hard in school, but like many students in Kenya, the path forward after primary education can be challenging. Not every child is able to pursue secondary school, and without other opportunities, many young people face an uncertain future.
Through partnerships like the Andersen Vocational Training Center, Brian and Freddy are now gaining practical skills and hands-on experience that will prepare them for meaningful work and independence. Their journeys reflect an important part of our mission: creating a future for every child by helping them discover the path that best fits their gifts and opportunities.
